It is a surprise to many disabled people that flying
is very much a possibility for people with a range of
disabilities, indeed disabled flying can provide a
level of challenge and exhilaration that may be
difficult to find anywhere else.
The British Disabled Flying Association provides, free of charge, 'experience of a lifetime' trial flying lessons for as many terminally ill & disabled people as possible every year, also subsidised flying days for other disability charities and at cost instruction & qualification flight training to BDFA members. This event is designed to raise funds for the charity so that more disabled people are able to have an experience flight with the BDFA.
